Building, Development, Renovations & Carpentry Specialists

Podge first worked for us in 2017 when he cut in the roof of our house extension.  When we planned a loft conversion in 2022, he was our go-to builder and the project was completed to a high standard, on budget and within the three month timeframe he initially gave us.

He is always a pleasure to deal with, and everyone in his team were very personable and considerate, which is so important when they were in and out of our house for a few months.  I wouldn’t hesitate to use Podge again for future projects at home, and would highly recommend him.

Having worked with Podge on domestic projects in the past, I invited him to tender for the renovation and extension of an existing barn to create new accommodation units at our wedding venue, Lapstone Barn.

The project, to be completed in two phases, totalled circa £500k and his initial tender was both realistic and competitive.  The real challenge of this development was that the site had to remain fully operational for weddings throughout the 10 month project.

Podge worked within our schedule faultlessly and ensured the site was left secure and tidy at the end of every day.  His communication is brilliant; he kept me constantly updated on progress and if any issues arose, he would find a solution quickly and calmly.  I can’t imagine finding any other builder so easy to deal with and I have thoroughly enjoyed working together on another project!

We are in the process of updating our property, Richard and his team have been a huge part of the process, replacing floorboards to half of first floor, laying LVT flooring in the bathroom and fitting wall panels all round, they have also replaced all 5 doors upstairs along with fitting new door furniture.  All work is done to a very high standard.

Richard and his team are reliable, punctual, and very polite, they do the job efficiently with the minimum of fuss and are willing to try and do the work on dates and times that suit you.

There is still more to be done and we will be asking Richard and his team back to help complete the process.

Podge and his fantastic team have completed several projects at my house. I have always been so pleased with their craftmanship.  They will always follow up after jobs to make any necessary adjustments and are great communicators throughout.

The orangery completed recently has been a wonderful addition to my house and has been beautifully crafted.

Richard and his team recently completed the build of our new house.

Throughout the project he was punctual, professional and able to accommodate changes to the original design.  We are very happy with our new house and visitors always complement us on the high quality finish.

I would have no reservations against using Richard again for future projects and thoroughly recommend him and his team.

Richard and his team has completed a number of projects for us including remodelling three bathrooms, creating storage space, fitting out an over-water holiday cottage and refurbishing / reroofing an old barn.

All of the works were completed on schedule and with an excellent attention to detail.

The teams carpentry in particular has been fantastic – a bespoke 3 part stair gate, four sets of hard wood bifold barn doors, and a cladded wall effect were all completed by the team.

Podge’ is a totally reliable and trustworthy builder and someone who I find very easy to work with.  He turns up when he says he will and is prompt in sending through plans and estimates.

Podge is always careful to explain the work that he is going to do and has plenty of good advice to offer.  Over the last 6 years, we have used his skills many times: he has replaced our roof, removed walls, put in bathrooms, built cupboards, removed and replaced an old stone floor and built an extension, all to an exceptionally high standard.  I would highly recommend using his building services.
